CIS of Houston CEO: Helping children build resilience

In leading education news site The 74 and on Yahoo! News, CIS of Houston CEO Lisa Descant—a licensed professional counselor and family therapist—shares five ways parents can help their kids build resilience even in times of crisis.

“While it can be difficult for children and teenagers to understand the trauma of missing reliable school meals, daily classroom routines with friends and afterschool or family activities, there are ways parents can help,” The 74 says. “ Here are five of them.”
