KPRC-TV: Teens partner with CIS, donate computers to Spring Branch ISD students
Two Houston-area high school students partnered with Communities In Schools of Houston and Comp-U-Dopt to provide brand new laptops to CIS students at four Spring Branch Independent School District middle schools.
“With the more than $36,000 they raised, the pair bought 160 Microsoft Surface Pros and began working with the Communities in Schools Coordinator in Spring Branch ISD to identify those students who would benefit the most from a new computer,” KPRC Local 2 reports.
CIS is grateful to these young men—Ford Lancaster and Adam Desroches—for their hard work and big-hearted dedication, to Comp-U-Dopt for coordinating the distribution, and to our CIS team in Spring Branch ISD for helping make it all happen for students in need.
