MSN: CIS of Houston expands internship program

Communities In Schools of Houston expanded its internship program this year to give more students the experience and confidence to pursue a college education and career in a range of industries.

The CIS nursing program lets students work alongside nurses at Houston Methodist and St. Luke’s Hospitals while earning a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) certification and opportunity for a college scholarship. 

Lazarus Energy over the summer and throughout the year generously hosts CIS internships that count toward college credit.

Thanks to our partnership with the Houston Bar Association, students can work in corporate legal departments, public interest agencies and law firms, like Baker Botts and Gibbs & Bruns.

And our newest internship partner is Judwin Properties, which gives students experience in customer relations, marketing and communications, and property service and management at its apartment complexes.
