Descant named a 2021 ‘Most Admired CEO’ by Houston Business Journal
Communities In Schools of Houston Chief Executive Officer Lisa Descant was selected as one of the Houston Business Journal's 2021 Most Admired CEOs.
She will be recognized with an award during a live virtual event on Aug. 19 and in the Aug. 20 print edition of the Houston Business Journal.
Lisa has led CIS of Houston through incredible growth and unprecedented change as we've expanded to serve more than 120,000 students across nearly 170 schools, created a new Mobile Mental Health Team, moved our on-campus supports online and off-campus to meet students where they are amid the COVID-19 pandemic, and much more.
With the support of local, state and education leaders, we continue to grow to meet students and families’ record needs, and we're grateful to have Lisa at the helm.
