Communities In Schools of Houston is excited to be a part of GivingTuesday 2022 to help raise awareness for the work we are doing in schools and beyond every day. Your gift will go TWICE AS FAR thanks to The Pit Room BBQ which has offered to match* donations! 

Currently serving 173 schools across Greater Houston, CIS places at least one full-time CIS Student Support Manager on each campus to deliver comprehensive direct services and to provide referrals to community resources that are tailored to fit students’ specific needs. Whether a student needs someone to talk to, healthcare services, school supplies, or a safe place to live, CIS is there to help. 

So far this year, CIS Student Support Managers are reporting significant demand for basic needs assistance, academic support, and mental and behavioral health services across all school districts. Families are also experiencing increased food and housing insecurity. With your help, we can work together to support our students and empower them to remain engaged in school and focused on the future.
