Lamar High School Mental Health Support Specialist (Part-Time), Licensed Clinician

Project Manager/Social Service Coordinator

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate, direct and implement varied professional administrative functions in the day-to-day operations on the assigned campus site
  • Manage major campus functions; adhere to performance expectations, campus plan, and campus agreement
  • Ensure that goals and objectives of CIS are accomplished in conjunction with assigned school principal’s expectation within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters
  • Coordinate agency/partners/community resources
  • Develop and evaluate subordinates and volunteers, manage budget, and oversee campus caseload and compliance goals as set by campus contract
  • Manage direct service delivery of one or more CIS components
  • Perform other administrative functions that may include interfacing with campus teams and community partners/resources, departmental and agency activities
  • Document service delivery

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or other closely related field
  • Two years of related work experience is required
  • Valid Texas Driver License and proof of liability insurance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with multiple levels of supervision within CIS and the school
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Data Management systems
  • Experience working with youth preferably in a school setting
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to meet short and long term deadlines

Preferences:

  • Preference will be given to applicants with specific skill sets as requested by campus assigned principal

 

Case Manager

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Assist the Project Manager/Social Service Coordinator in the implementation of the CIS program
  • Provide an effective delivery of human, educational and community services to students and families via collaboration, cooperation, and positive involvement
  • Work directly with the Project Manager/Social Service Coordinator to identify caseload students and meet compliance goals as set by the campus contract
  • Provides direct service delivery under the supervision of the Project Manager/Social Service Coordinator of one or more CIS components

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or other closely related field
  • Two years of related work experience is required
  • Valid Texas Driver License and proof of liability insurance

CIS Mental Health Support Specialist

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Individual, Group and Family Supportive Guidance – Interventions designed to help students and/or families build strengths, develop and maintain pro-social and adaptive behaviors.
  • Case Staffing and Consultation – Conferring with interdisciplinary team and/or other professional(s) regarding cases.
  • Coordination of Health and Human Service Linkages – Providing information and referrals to resources within the school or mental health resources within the community.
  • Case Management – Providing case management services to address the needs of students referred for a variety of mental health, emotional, developmental, behavioral and/or social problems.
  • Community Outreach – Collaborating with mental health and/or social service partners.
  • Collaboration with CIS Project Manager at school site to coordinate service delivery.
  • Conferring with CIS Project Manager – monthly progress reports, consultations and case staffing.
  • Documentation of service delivery contacts.
  • Maintenance of case folders for targeted students.

Qualifications:

  • Mental Health License or License Eligible required
  • Two years of related work experience required
  • Valid Texas Driver License and proof of liability insurance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with multiple levels of supervision within CIS and the school
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Data Management systems
